Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.502(d)(15): Anchorages used for attachment for personal fall arrest equipment were not capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds per employee: (a)CCM Welding Repair & Fabrication, LLC @ 100 Caspian Ave., Volga, SD 57071: On or about November 5, 2015, the exposing employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards. The employer did not ensure employees were using an anchorage system that would be able to support 5,000 lbs, in that, employees were attached to the guard railing of the catwalk that spanned the distance between two tanks, and was not secured to the tanks. The condition exposed employees to a fall hazard in excess of 6 feet.
