29 CFR 1904.7(b)(4): 29 CFR 1904.7(b)(4): Recording a work-related injury or illness that results in restricted work or job transfer. When an injury or illness involves restricted work or job transfer but did not involve death or days away from work, the employer did not record the injury or illness on the OSHA 300 Log with a check mark in the space for job transfer or restriction and an entry of the number of restricted or transferred days in the restricted work column. (a) Throughout the facility: On or about October 1, 2015 through January 22, 2016, the employer did not correctly classify the following workplace injuries or illnesses as cases involving days of restriction or job transfer on the OSHA Form 300 or its equivalent for calendar year 2015: (1) Pack Singles: On 9/19/15 an employee tripped aggravating a left hand injury resulting in days of restriction or job transfer that continued into December 2015 for approximately 94 days. Log case number 119 was recorded as 63 days of restriction or job transfer. (2) Pick area: On 10/12/15 an employee developed low back pain lifting parts resulting in days of restriction or job transfer. Log case number 172 was recorded as 0 days of restriction or job transfer. (3) AFE: On 9/13/15 an employee developed left knee pain squatting to pick up product resulting in restriction or job transfer that continued into November 2015 for approximately 71 days. Log case number 124 was recorded as 38 days of restriction or job transfer. (4) Pack Singles: On 10/2/15 an employee developed neck and shoulder pain picking products resulting in restriction or job transfer and the injury involved days away from work that continued into November 2015.
