Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard: ELECTRIC
The following item(s), as described in the attached citation, is amended as follows. Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: On or about 3/6/93, the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrocution while working on electrical lines and equipment since employyes were not adequately trained to see that safety rules and operating procedures for correcting safety hazards were observed: a- Cotrell Rd. - On or about 3/6/93. One feasible method of abatement: Supervisors and crew leaders should be retrained to discuss through open dialog, all safety hazards (observed and potential), and what safety riles and operating procedures are to be used for the protection of employees.
