Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Dip tank area: On or about July 15, 2015: The employer did not ensure that the emergency eye wash available to employees working around and adding acidic and caustic chemicals used in the dip tanks complied with industry standard ANSI Z358.1 5.1.5 that would run 15 minutes at 0.4 gallons per minute. The Rexnord Industries, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.151(c) which was contained in OSHA inspection number315194928, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/26/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1600 Pumphrey Ave, Auburn, AL 36830.
