29 CFR 1926.1427(k)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that operators of equipment covered by this standard were competent to operate the equipment safely: On or about April 30, 2015, R. J. Corman Railroad Construction, LLC exposed employees to struck-by hazards when an employee operated a boom truck in an employee occupied area of the job site. The employer had not evaluated the employee operator to ensure the equipment could be operated safely. The employee operator had no previous experience with the accident involved boom truck. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
