Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employer failes to ensure that all electrical faults were cleared from systems that have been de-energized by a circuit protective device prior to manually re- energizing circuit in accordance with NFPA 70E, Part II, Chapter 3. a) Peachtree 25th building - 6th floor south tower - Electrical Closet - A fault created in the system was not cleared prior to a 200 amp fuse being removed and a new fuse being re-installed. A feasible and acceptable method of abatement includes but is not limited to ensuring that all electrical faults are fully cleared from the system prior to attempting to re-energize the system.
