Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: LIFTING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) On or about 05/12/03 for the employee exposed to the hazard of being struck by the lifting carriage of a JCB 530-B Loadall forklift when the forklift tipped over while being operated in an area around a school construction site that had experienced heavy rain creating soft and uneven ground for the forklift to be operating on. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazards is to adhere to the safe operating procedures as outlined in the JCB 530-B Loadall operator's manual, Publication No. 9801/7777, issued on 02/11/87.,
