29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about January 31, 2015, at the shop area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while making holes on a piece of metal with a drill press (i.e. Jet Serial No. 9020452) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. b. On or about January 22, 2015, at the shop area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while making holes on a piece of metal with a drill press (i.e. Dayton Model 5PHCA) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. c. On or about January 27, 2015, at the shop area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while cutting metal with a radial saw (i.e. Delta, no model available) that had the lower portion of the blade unguarded.
