29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity: Stites Masonry, Inc. had an employee exposed to a 10 ft., 7 in. fall hazard without fall protection from scaffolding on a construction site in Champaign, Illinois. The employer did not have a competent person inspect the scaffold and scaffold components for visible defects prior to use on each work shift.
