29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(iv)(A): The review and update of the exposure control plan did not reflect changes in technology that elimnate or reduce exposure to bloodborne pathogens: (a) Blood Lab: On or about June 26, 2013 and at times prior thereto, the blood culture media bottles for the Bactec 9050 blood culture system had not been evaluated for non-glass substitution. This condition exposed employees to bloodborne pathogen hazards including Hepatitis B and HIV in the event of bottle breakage.
