29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energy, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. a) 421 & 436 East 16th Street: Employees required to perform service on equipment, such as, but not limited to the Super Sylon ironer, were not provided an energy control program, consisting of complete written energy control procedures, employer training, and periodic inspections, on or about 9/14/2012. b) 421 East 16th Street: Employees, who climb a Milnor conveyor in order to remove stuck laundry and clear jams, were not provided an energy control program, consisting of complete written energy control procedures, employer training, and periodic inspections, on or about 9/14/2012.
