29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. At the job site of 5056 N. Lycee, Bel Aire, Kansas, LMT Construction employees engaged in attaching new doors, windows, and siding to the exterior of the apartment complex were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the balcony to the ground below. Fall hazard training was not provided to the employees to ensure they were aware of the hazards of working on the balcony level and the fall protection methods to minimize the hazards.
