29 CFR 1910.157(e)(1): The employer shall be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and testing of all portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. a). Outside of the Facility- On or about and times prior to 20 February 2014, there was a portable fire extinguisher mounted inside a GEHL Telescopic Boom forklift (model: 553) that was not inspected and maintained, thus exposing employees to life safety hazards. b). Outside of the Facility- On or about and times prior to 20 February 2014, there was a portable fire extinguisher mounted inside a Case forklift (model: 586E) that was not inspected and maintained, thus exposing employees to life safety hazards. c). Shop Area- On or about and times prior to 20 February 2014, there was a portable fire extinguisher stationed on the floor inside a room of the Shop Area that was not inspected and maintained, thus exposing employees to life safety hazards.
