Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 10/15/13 Location:Garage Equipment:Crown Forklift, Model #30SP42TT-S, Serial #H-7428-2 Condition:A propane powered forklift was not equipped with a seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard, install and utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2012, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks." Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
