Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by/caught between hazards: a.Worksite: Employees did not adequately inspect all trusses for damage prior to, during and after the erection/installation process, as determined on or about 07/06/09. ABATEMENT NOTE: AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTANCE METHOD OF ABATEMENT WOULD BE TO FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION ON ROOF TRUSS ERECTION OR THE BSCI-03 ISSUED BY THE WOOD TRUSS COUNCIL OF AMERICA AND THE TRUSS PLATE INSTITUTE THAT INDICATES ALL TRUSSES NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGES PRIOR TO, DURING AND AFTER THE ERECTION/INSTALLATION PROCESS.
