29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about December 2, 2018, and at times prior thereto, a crew of Ginno Steel employees were directed to perform a re-roofing job on a low slope (4:12 pitch) roof that included tear-off of older material and installation of new metal roofing materials. Six employees were exposed to multiple fall hazards ranging from heights of 14-21 feet above the ground to wet, slippery new metal roofing materials.
