Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to floor holes in main aisleways: 60 Harris Road, Avon: The employer did not ensure that covers were maintained on drainage floor channels used for directing water containing feces and urine from washed kennels. One feasible abatement method, among others, would be to inspect after the cleaning of the troughs for replacement of the grates and/or implement another method animal excrement.
