Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: The Ridgid 300 Pipethreading machine located on the lower level was not equipped with an automatic shut off footswitch to protect the employee from entanglement with the rotating chuck. No other method was provided to effectively shut off power to the machine other than the motor control switch.
