29 CFR 1910.266(d)(5): The employer did not terminate work and move each employee to a place of safety when environmental conditions, such as but not limited to, electrical storms, high winds, heavy rain or snow, extreme cold, dense fog, fires mud slides, and darkness, may have endangered the employee(s) in the performance of the job: a) On or about February 21, 2018, and at times prior thereto, sawyers were felling trees in the same unit, adjacent to and within two tree lengths of each other, where high winds were reported with gusts between 24 and 29 mph in the region. NOTE: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item.
