29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(ii): The written hazard communication program did not include the methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards of non routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) (a) On or about 7/11/2017, employees of National Grid Plc were exposed to chemical hazards from mercury exposure because the employer did not ensure that the written hazard communication program included methods to inform employees of the hazards of non routine tasks, such as but not limited to prevention of mercury spills and exposures during work removing and around pre-1980 metering and utility equipment which can contain mercury.
