Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 08/04/2006, two employees were exposed to falling hazard while working on top of a recycling waste truck without any fall protection. Among other methods, one feasible and useful method to correct this hazard is to prohibit employees to climb on top of the trucks while in the field. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
