North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by or run over by a bus chassis: a)High Point street, chassis parking areas- employees were exposed to being struck or run over while driving bus chassis without being protected from falling from the driver's utility seat, prior to and on February 16, 2006. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating this violation would be to equip the transport seats with seatbelts and require their use by employees.
