Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: A)The employer did not implement a daily inspection program of the automotive hoists to ensure that safety features were functioning properly prior to the hoists being used, per requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) requirements set forth in ANSI/ALI ALOIM standard for automotive lifts. B)The employer did not remove from service automotive hoists with deficiencies per requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) requirements set forth in ANSI/ALI ALOIM standard for automotive lifts. C)The employer did not take appropriate measures to ensure that evidence of hydraulic or pneumatic leaks were addressed to prevent the potential for equipment failure of the automotive hoists per the requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) requirements set forth in ANSI/ALI ALOIM standard for automotive lifts.
