Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries due to the collapse of concrete walls (one 10 feet high x 9 feet long at the right side of the entrance to the office and the other 10 feet high x 11 feet 8 inches long in the warehouse) which have displacements of 3/4 inches to 1 inch wide and cracks caused by ground settlement in the school's dinning room area. Among other methods, one feasible and aceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to make a structural study of the building which shall include recommendations and practical ways to correct the condition. a. Recibir lesiones serias debido al desplomo de paredes de concreto (una de 10 pies de altura x 9 pies de longitud en el lado derecho de la entrada a la oficina y otra pared de 10 pies de alto x 11 pies 8 pulgadas de longitud en el almacen) desplazamiento de 3/4 a 1 pulgada de ancho y grietas causadas por el asentamiento del terreno en el area del comedor escolar. Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es hacer un estudio estructural del edificio que incluya recomendaciones y formas practicas para corregir la condicion.
