29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a). High Voltage Lab Generator Room - On or about August 15, 2017, an employee was re-installing fiber glass floor grating on an elevated mezzanine platform without a fall protection system in place, thus exposing the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 32 feet. Caravels, LLC dba Georgia Transformer Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1125346, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 11, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 2789 Georgia Highway 21 South, Rincon, GA 31326.
