Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to a 70 foot fall from roof to ground: 4234 North Main Street, Fall River, MA: An employee performed window cleaning from a roof, 70 feet above grade, which was not equipped with a parapet or guardrails. The employer did not provide a fall protection system or establish a designated area. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to establish a designated area surrounded by a rope, wire, or chain supported by stanchions located not less than 6 feet from the unprotected edge of the
