Investigation Summary
At approximately 12:55 p.m. on October 18, 2005, Employee #1, with Home Depot Store Number 625, was walking from the rear towards the front of the store to handle a customer appliance order. He was found after an apparent fall, lying on the floor at the end of the closet storage/organizer aisle near the back receiving entrance at the water heater area. A coworker roused Employee #1, who awoke, but was disoriented. Emergency responders transported him to Eden Medical Center. Later that day, his condition had dramatically worsened, and he died on October 21, 2005.
