Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a Registered Nurse who provided patient care at a hospital. While working, the employee had all PPE available to her including mask, gloves, gowns, shields, and other. The employee had received safety and illness training and had been complying with the use of PPE throughout her shifts. The employee started to have symptoms of COVID-19 on November 13, 2020, which included fever, and body aches. The employee notified the employer of her illness and did not go to work. On November 29, 2020, the employee was hospitalized with COVID-19 until December 1, 2020.
