Investigation Summary
At 1:00 p.m. on October 21, 2020, an employee who had been working as a Cardio P ulmonary Technician at a hospital was hospitalized for COVID-19. On October 16, 2020, the employee worked his last day in the Emergency Room of on the 1st shift in the morning. Infection Control Staff at the hospital did contact tracing. Du ring this time, the employee had interacted with a COVID-19 positive patient who was an inmate from a local prison. The narrative indicated that his duration of interaction is unknown, but that he wore an N95 respirator. On October 19, 2020 , the employee tested positive for COVID-19. The employee had an additional job doing the same type of work and was also exposed to COVID-19 at that job.
