Abstract: Employees #1 through #10 and four coworkers, all subcontractors, were working in a three-story wood frame apartment building when winds greater than 46 mph caused the building to collapse. Employee #1, a concrete subcontractor, was crushed and killed. Employees #5, #6, and #8 were trapped between collapsed floor joists for about an hour before they were rescued. Employees #2 through #10 sustained injuries, and Employees #2 through #6 were hospitalized.
