Abstract: At 11:00 a.m. on October 16, 2017, Employee #1 and a coworker were stacking lumber on a conveyor. During work, the conveyor motor stalled. Employee #1 climbed under the conveyor on the stacker/trimmer to jump start the motor by hand. The employee told the coworker to shut down the conveyor, then restart on his mark. Employee #1 instructed the coworker to restart the conveyor while he had his hand on the pulley to assist it, but it did not start. After a second attempt, the motor started and pulled Employee #1's hand into the pulley, amputating his finger.
