Abstract: At 10:00 a.m. on October 5, 2017, an employee was unloading chemicals into a building from a tanker truck. The employee thought the truck was almost empty and went out to unhook the hose. As the employee touched the hose, the hose came off and the employee hit the emergency stop. The employee tried to cap the port and sprayed himself while trying to cap the port as the chemicals started to flow back out of the building. The employee was hospitalized and treated for chemical burns.
