Abstract: Employee #1, a log scaler, was working in the log yard and was walking across the yard when a log rolled onto his legs injuring his feet and ankles. Employee #1 had walked between two piles of logs while a loader was picking up a pile of logs approximately 40 ft away. This caused some logs to move in sequence toward Employee #1 walking in the area. Employee #1 was struck in the legs by the last log in the pile. Employee #1 was able to get up and walk away. Employee #1 was hospitalized at later date, February 11, 2009, with a collapsed arch caused by the accident.
