Abstract: At approximately 2:55 p.m. on September 12, 2005, an employee was working for J.D. Wells Construction. The employee was replacing old plywood on the flat roof of a community church building. He was using a Skill saw to cut the plywood, when the saw unexpectedly kicked back, and struck his left wrist. The Skill saw was inspected immediately after the accident by the foreman, and he found it to be in good working condition. The blade was properly guarded. The employee was taken to Olive View Hospital and he was hospitalized for two days. Because of the accident, the employee suffered permanent injury to his left wrist.
