Abstract: At approximately 10:50 a.m. on June 21, 2005, Employee #1, a carpenter, was operating a nail gun during the construction of a residential home when a nail ricocheted off a metal strap and struck him in his left eye. The nail went through his eye and lodged into the right side of his brain. He was transported to Victor Valley Hospital and then to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was hospitalized for approximately 2 weeks.
