Abstract: Employee #1, a carpenter, was installing sub-facia on the edge of a roof in a single family residence. Employee #1 and another employee were utilizing 6-ft step ladders to install the sub-facia at the edge of the unsheathed wood trusses. The ladders were set up on the second floor with the 8-ft-high exterior walls in place. The employees were instructed to reach over the wall to nail the sub-facia in place. For some unknown reason, Employee #1 climbed to the top of the wall and fell. Employee #1 died as a result of injuries he suffered in the fall.
