Abstract: At approximately 9:30 a.m., on March 13, 2010 Employee #1, a Motor Hand for Xtreme Coil Drilling Corporation, had multiple fingers crushed and amputated while working on a XTC-200 Drilling Rig (serial number 062424). Employee #1 was on the floor of the drilling rig attempting to remove a crossover sub on a casing pipe when a 300-400 pound grabber box fell onto his hands after a cotter pin failed. Employee #1 was transported to Nye Regional Medical Center in Tonopah, NV where he was later air ambulance transported to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV.
