Abstract: At approximately 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2006, Employee #1 was working as a clerk for a marine terminal corporation in Row Y near spot 262. A driver asked her a question about the location of a container. Employee #1 was unable to assist the driver, but told him to contact the Office of Complaint. The driver went back to his vehicle. Employee #1 exited her vehicle, for an unknown reason, and walked to the passenger side of the driver's vehicle. The driver did not know Employee #1 had left her vehicle, as he began to move his vehicle. As his vehicle moved forward, Employee #1 lost her balance and fell into his path and was struck by the vehicle's moving tires. The tires crushed her right ankle. She was transported to a medical center. At the hospital, she underwent surgical procedures upon her crushed ankle and was hospitalized for postoperative treatment and was released. The injuries to her ankle resulted in a partial amputation of her right leg.
