Abstract: On July 11, 2006, Employee #1 was installing .625-in. ground rods with a locally manufactured tool. The tool was designed to enclose the rod, while driving it into the earth. Employee #1 lifted the tool off the rod and allowed it to fall, when it caught his hand between the tool and the rod. Employee #1 sustained a puncture wound with accompanying trauma. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.
