Abstract: Employee #1 was standing on the bed of a pickup truck fitted with an A-frame, helping to load slabs of granite marble. One slab had been loaded and placed against the A-frame. A second slab was then loaded and Employee #1 was clamping it against the first when the second slab began to lean toward him. He lost his balance and fell backward to the ground. The slab broke and a large piece struck his left hand, amputating his index, middle, and ring fingers.
