Abstract: At approximately 11:16 a.m. on March 25, 1997, Employee #1, of Scottex, Inc., Los Angeles, CA, was adjusting a knitting machine. The machine was still in operation and Employee #1's ring and middle fingers were partially amputated when they became caught in the chain and sprocket drive. He was admitted to the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital for two 2 days, and then treated as an outpatient.
