Abstract: At approximately 11:30 p.m. on July 11, 1993, Employee #1, while working around a conveyor system moving food boxes, noticed a piece of tape caught in a roller. The tape was preventing the roller from moving. The employee reached up into the roller area and attempted to remove the debris. Employee #1 pulled the tape out, the roller began to spin, pulling his hand into the pinch point area between two rollers. Another worker in the area turned off the power to the conveyor system and assisted Employee #1. Employee #1 was transported by paramedics to Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, CA, where he was treated for abrasions and contusions to his right hand and released.
