Abstract: At 12:00 noon on June 6, 2019, an employee and a coworker were trimming tree limbs that were protruding into the street. The employee, working from a ladder approximately 9 feet from the ground, informed the coworker that they were going to tie a rope around a bigger branch that the employee was having difficulty cutting due to the angle. When the employee finished the cut, the coworker was to pull the branch towards where he was standing in the street. When the branch hit the ground, the employee fell to the ground soon after. The employee was hospitalized to treat a fractured skull, three fractured ribs, a fractured right cheekbone and head trauma.
