TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- The U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Long Island Power Authority, AGMAUSA and North Fork Spanish Apostolate will present a free, course in Spanish on construction safety and health on Sunday, Oct. 29. The course will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church (Iglesia San Juan El Evangelista), Roanoke Ave. and Fifth St. in Riverhead, N.Y.
The course will help Hispanic workers identify and prevent common workplace hazards.
