Fiscal Year 2018 OTI Training Schedule for Federal, State, and Local Agency Employees

Most all OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Courses are open to Federal, State, and Local Agency Employees and do not have a tuition fee associated with the training. You can check to see if there are any available seats at the following website: https://learninglink.dol.gov/learning/user/portal.do?siteID=Private%20Sector

The Friday morning session is a critical part of the course as it includes an exercise and discussion led by a senior member of the Solicitor of Labor's Office regarding gathering sufficient information for citing combustible dust hazards under 5(a)(1). Also discussed will be current policies and recent decisions involving combustible dust.   1. Students are required to wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, all non-synthetic clothing, specifically natural fiber outer- and underwear such as cotton, wool, and silk. Natural rubber as found in waistband elastic is acceptable. This prohibits any blend of synthetic fibers, such as polyester, and is essential for your personal safety.
  2. Students must bring safety shoes.
  3. Hardhats and safety glasses will be provided on site, although you are encouraged to bring your own safety glasses.
