OSHA Strategic Partnership Program<< Back to Annual Evaluations

The charts below (pages 1-12) depict the participating sites’ Total Case Incident Rates (TCIR) and their Days Away Restricted Activity and Transferred (DART) rates over a 3 year period compared to the 2010 BLS rates for their respective industries.  The single goal of this OSP is to reduce the participating sites’ injury and illness rates each year of the OSP.

Chart 1A shows the sites engaged in motor vehicle metal stamping have continued to maintain their DART rates below the 2010 BLS DART rate.  Only one of the five sites has shown a DART rate reduction each year (for the last three years).

Graph 1

Chart 1B shows the sites engaged in motor vehicle metal stamping all have TCIR well above the 2010 BLS TCIR for the metal stamping industry.  Three of the five sites have showed a DART rate reduction each year (for the last three years) but only one of the five sites has, for the last three years, had a TCIR close to or below the 2010 BLS TCIR.

Chart 2A shows five of the eight sites engaged in automobile manufacturing have consistently maintained their DART rates below the 2010 BLS DART rate.  Three of the eight sites have DART rates significantly below the 2010 BLS rate.  However, in 2011 five of the sites had an increase in their DART rates from the previous year.

Graph 3

Chart 2B shows all of the sites engaged in automobile manufacturing have historically had TCIR above the 2010 BLS TCIR for automobile manufacturing.  Three of the eight sites are maintaining TCIR close to or below the 2010 BLS TCIR. In 2011, three of the eight reduced their TCIR to below the 2010 BLS TCIR and five of eight reduced their TCIR each year for the last three years.

Chart 3A shows all five of the sites engaged in motor vehicle engine manufacturing had DART rates well below the 2010 BLS DART rate for 2011.  Two of the sites reduced their DART rates each year for the last three years.

Chart 3B shows all five of the sites engaged in motor vehicle engine manufacturing have historically had TCIR above the 2010 BLS TCIR for that industry.  Two of the five sites reduced their TCIR each year for the last three years but both of those sites’ TCIR remain above the 2010 BLS TCIR.  In 2011 two of the five sites had TCIR below the 2010 BLS TCIR.

Chart 4A shows that in 2011 three of the four sites engaged in motor vehicle transmission manufacturing had DART rates well below the 2010 BLS DART rate.  Two of the sites reduced their DART rates each year for the last three years.

Chart 5A shows that in 2011 only one of the three sites engaged in motor vehicle supplies and parts sales has a DART rate below the 2010 BLS DART rate.  The other two sites experienced DART rates mostly above the 2010 BLS DART rate.

There is only one site participating in the OSP within the NAICS for motor vehicle plastic parts manufacturing.  Chart 6 shows the progression of that site’s TCIR and DART rates for the three year period.  The site’s rates have been consistently at or slightly above the 2010 BLS rates for that industry.

Graph 11

There is only one site participating in the OSP within the NAICS for iron and steel forging. Chart 7 shows the progression of that site’s TCIR and DAFRT rates for the three year period.  While the site’s 2009 and 2011 TCIR were above the 2010 BLS TCIR, the site’s DART rates have been consistently below the 2010 BLS DART rate or at zero.
