The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) join The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Area Offices in Georgia, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the Georgia Division-Federal Highway Administration (Georgia FHWA), the Georgia Highway Contractors Association (GHCA), the Georgia Utility Contractors Association (GUCA), the Georgia Tech Research Institute's Occupational Safety and Health Division (GTRI), 3M Corporation (3M), the Georgia Branch, Associated General Contractors of America, Inc.(Georgia Branch, AGC), Lamar Outdoor Advertising (Lamar), Georgia Power, the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA), Pike Electric, LLC., the National Safety Council, Georgia Chapter (NSC), Ansco & Associates, LLC, and the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (hereafter referred to as the Georgia Struck by Alliance) in recognizing the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to advance safety and more healthful American workplaces. The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia therefore agrees to join the Georgia Struck by Alliance to use their collective expertise to help protect employees' health and safety, particularly in the reduction and prevention of struck by and work zone hazards. The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia agrees to all of the provisions of the original Alliance signed on December 5, 2006, and the renewal signed on March 5, 2013. In amending this agreement all participants recognize that OSHA's State Plan and Consultation project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort.

OSHA's Alliances provide parties an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with OSHA for purposes such as raising awareness of OSHA's rulemaking and enforcement initiatives, training and education, and outreach and communication. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with a party, OSHA is not endorsing or promoting, nor does it intend to endorse or promote, any of that party's products or services.

An implementation team made up of representatives of each organization will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. OSHA team members will include representatives of the Atlanta-East, Atlanta-West and Savannah, GA, Area Offices and the Atlanta Regional Office and any other appropriate offices. OSHA will encourage State Plan States' and OSHA On-site Consultation Projects' participation on the team.

This agreement will remain in effect for two years. Any signatory may terminate it for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice. This agreement may be modified at any time with the written concurrence of all signatories.
