Overview

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Georgia Institute of Technology Safety, Health, and Environmental Technology Division (Georgia Tech) and American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Trench Safety Task Force Alliance is focused on reducing and preventing exposure to trenching and excavation hazards.

II. Implementation Team Membership and Contributors

Metro Atlanta Area - Representatives from OSHA, ASSE and Georgia Tech conducted all required quarterly meeting by teleconferencing, formal meetings and training sessions on the following dates: 10/27/2006, 04/09/07, 6/22/07, and 7/20/07.

Savannah Area - Representatives from the ASSE, as well as OSHAs Regional and Savannah Area Offices held a meeting on 3/19/07, 5/14/07, 8/13/07 and 9/10/07.
