Alliance to provide the Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council members and others with training, information, guidance, and access to OSHA resources that will help them protect employees' health and safety, particularly in reducing employee injury and illness.

Monthly planning meetings were held in March and from July through December.

Training and Education
- The implementation team attended a Safety Conference planned by the Lehigh Valley Labor Management Council presented at DeSales University. The team decided that this would be the main focus of the Alliance for the next year.

|Regional Safety and Health Conference||In planning stage for May 20, 2009|
The members of the alliance will plan and direct a low cost Regional Safety and Health Conference to be presented at Luzerne County community College on May 20, 2009. The conference will feature a keynote speaker (the Pennsylvania Director of Homeland Security) and two tracks (professional and trades).
