    C. Overview:

    The Alliance with the Consulate General of the Philippines was established to facilitate fostering cooperative relationships for such purposes as, training and education, outreach and communication, and promoting a national dialogue on workplace safety and health;

    The Participants intentions are to establish a collaborative relationship to provide Filipino workers information, guidance, and access to education and training resources to promote workers’ rights in protecting their occupational safety and health, and to help them understand U.S. domestic law on the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act).

    Promoting the National Dialogue on Safety and Health

    • The OSHA Region VI Office reached out to the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles to request a meeting to reestablish the goals of the Alliance.

  5. Upcoming Milestones

    This Alliance will be effectively closed out as of the date of March 3, 2016 due to inactivity. The Region VI OSHA Office will continue to be ready to support the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles in the future.
